Purdue University Northwest began the semester in Hammond with two major campus spaces ready for students: a newly built residence hall and an upgraded classroom and office building.
Calumet Hall is the university's third student residence hall. Its furnishing was planned to feel residential while keeping shared areas useful for studying and working together, with softer seating for relaxing.
Work in the Classroom Office Building focused on places along a main walkway where students can study and connect. Seating and tables there use the university's gold, black and silver colors.
Pulse Technology says it has partnered with the university for several years and worked with campus planning staff on both projects. The company says it expects that work to continue as the university grows.
