About The Hoosier Wire

The Hoosier Wire is an independent Indiana local news site. We cover the state in four regions — Northwest, Northeast, Central, and Southern Indiana — so readers can follow what is happening close to home and across Indiana.

Our stories are written in our own words from local reporting and public information. Every story credits its source, and we link back to the original reporting in the “Sources & background” box at the bottom of each story.

The Hoosier Wire is the Indiana sister site of The Wisco Wire. We are a small, independent operation, and we would rather publish a shorter story we have checked than a longer one we have not.
